Churches together are hosting a Lent Soup Evening on Thursday 1st March at 7.30pm at Stainbeck URC. Mike Love from the Poverty Truth Comminssion will be speaking. Please bring, cake, biscuits or fruit to share. If you are planning to attend please Angela Hughes at or text   Weekend Away 2018 Chapel A's Weekend Away 2018 is July 6th-8th at Scargill. Our speakers are John & Sue Wilson and we ho pe it will be a significant weekend again for all. Please check your for more info (or download fromhttp:// If you'd like to come, please reserve your place asap (first come, first served in terms of accommodation!) at ASAP. Thanks! Holiday Club This year we have the really exciting prospect of working together with the other churches to put on holiday club for local children during the school holidays. It would be a great way to get to know more children in the area and to make connections with their families. But for this to happen we need help! We are looking at running it for 3 mornings during the week of 30th July. Would you be able to help in any way? There will be lots of different roles including making refreshments, leading groups and acting! Please speak to Helen Greenwood if you are interested in knowing more We always want to care & look out for each other as a community, but please remember that except for when they are in their designated groups, all children & young people remain the responsibility of their parents/carers at all times. Thanks everyone! Set up in March - Non–housegroup people. Set up in April - The Monday Group This morning we are continuing our series ‘Surprise the World’ and Simon will be speaking on ‘Learn’. Mark Baxby will be leading our worship today. Welcome to Chapel A THIS COMING WEEK Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall. Please contact Hannah Dey on or about any of our usual groups for young people. Fairtrade Event The Beehive (the only Fairtrade shop in Leeds) is holding its annual Fairtrade cafe as part of Fairtrade Fortnight. This will take place on Saturday 17th March at the Methodist Centre, Town Street, Chapel Allerton from 10.30am pm. Delicious homemade cakes, teas and coffees will be served. We'd love to see you there! Church Meeting Our next church meeting will be held on Monday 12th March at 7.45pm. More details to folllow.
