He was a sickly child Parents taught him English only Dropped out of school at 16 Moved to London in 1934 and published 18 Poems

Biography Married Caitlin Macnamara in 1937
Two sons, Lleweyn Edouard and Colm Garan Hart, and one daughter Aeronwy Thomas-Ellis Was an anti-aircraft gunner during WWII Began reading tours in America in 1950 Died on November 9, 1953 in America

Writing Style Not concerned with themes of
social and intellectual issues Wrote with highly charged emotions and lyricism More common with Romantic tradition

Night = Death One should not accept death, they should fight One should not move toward death in a resigned way, go out in a blaze of glory
