Psalm 84

Psalm 84:1-12 1 How lovely is your dwelling place,     Lord Almighty! 2 My soul yearns, even faints,     for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out     for the living God.

Psalm 84:1-10 3 Even the sparrow has found a home,     and the swallow a nest for herself,     where she may have her young— a place near your altar,     Lord Almighty, my King and my God. 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house;     they are ever praising you.[c]

Psalm 84:1-10 5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you,     whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka,     they make it a place of springs;     the autumn rains also cover it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength,     till each appears before God in Zion.

Psalm 84:1-10 8 Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty;     listen to me, God of Jacob. 9 Look on our shield,[e] O God;     look with favor on your anointed one. 10 Better is one day in your courts     than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God     than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Psalm 122:1 1 I rejoiced with those who said to me,     “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

Where Everybody Knows Your Name
Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go

Where Everybody Knows Your Name
Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows Your name. You wanna go where people know, people are all the same, You wanna go where everybody knows your name.

Psalm 84:1-3 1 How lovely is your dwelling place,     Lord Almighty! 2 My soul yearns, even faints,     for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out     for the living God. 3 Even the sparrow has found a home,     and the swallow a nest for herself,     where she may have her young— a place near your altar,     Lord Almighty, my King and my God.

Acts 2:42-44 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.

Psalm 84:3-4 3 Even the sparrow has found a home,     and the swallow a nest for herself,     where she may have her young— a place near your altar,     Lord Almighty, my King and my God. 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house;     they are ever praising you.

John 13:34-35 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Psalm 84:4-7 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house;     they are ever praising you. 5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you,     whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka,     they make it a place of springs;     the autumn rains also cover it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength,     till each appears before God in Zion.

Philippians 2:12 Jeremiah 17:5   Proverbs 28:26

Romans 5:6-8 “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath {of God} through Him.”

Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”

Psalm 84:10-11 10 Better is one day in your courts     than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God     than dwell in the tents of the wicked. 11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;     the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold     from those whose walk is blameless.

2 Samuel 24:24 24 But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen and paid fifty shekels of silver for them.

Romans 12:1 12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
