Ask for a student led campus tour and an opportunity to visit with an admissions counselor or attend an information session.

Tell me a bit about the _______ major and courses I would be taking. How many student majors are there? What does your major prepare me for and what are your graduates doing now? Do your students complete internships or coops and if so, how do they find them? Is there an active student organization connected to the major? Other than you, what colleges in Ohio are strong in this major?

Ohio’s Colleges with Learning Support Programs for Students with Learning Challenges
Muskingum University PLUS Program - provides structured support services for students with learning differences such as specific learning disabilities and ADHD. ($3,100 to $9,500 per year – 3 optional levels of support) Notre Dame College Academic Support Center – provides structured support services for students with learning differences. They are staffed by seven full-time and 30 part-time learning specialists. Available services are extensive ($5,200 per year) Bowling Green State University FLY Program - academic support program for students with learning challenges. Their new “FLY Program” (Falcon Learning Your Way) matches students to a full-time learning specialist, assigned tutor, and a writing consultant for each enrolled course. An Academic Coach is also assigned to help students improve time management skills and study strategies. ($5,000 per year) Mount St. Joseph University Project EXCEL - Students whose primary disability is a specific learning disability and/or ADHD may apply to Project EXCEL. Project EXCEL addresses the needs of this specific group of students through a comprehensive academic support system. ($3,600 per year) Defiance College ASD Affinity Program — comprehensive services supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The ASD Affinity Program is designed to support students with ASD as they have a true college experience. Pricing not published.
