Office Manager 1.2 (== ) OM is an end user administration tool the Cisco partner configures and leaves behind with the site office manager. Office Manager (OM) version 1.2 built on December 20th Supports CCA 3.0 managed systems Does not support hybrid CLI or all CLI configurations Does not support other UC platforms (purpose built for UC 500) Office Manager supports these devices: Cisco UC 500 Series (UC 520, UC 540, and UC 560) Cisco PVC2300 Business Internet Video Cameras (Audio/PoE) Cisco WVC2300 Wireless-G Business Internet Video Cameras Cisco 7900, SPA 500, SPA 300, CIPC & most Cisco 6900 Series IP Phones (6945 to be added in CME and CCA and OM) Cisco AP541N Wireless Access Points Go get it!!!!

Why OM Remember you use CCA; Customers shouldn’t
Reduce what you need to collect & configure for new systems Make these areas clear during site survey and planning meetings Let the end customer do routine administrative tasks Depending on your model, you may not want support calls for simple changes Increase your value proposition to your customers It does a few things CCA can’t do Cisco Small Business Support Center support It is priced right!!! Go get it!!!!

Customer’s PC Requirements
These are the system requirements needed to run Office Manager: Operating system Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit version) Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit version) Web browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.0 and later (version 7.0 and later is recommended) Mozilla Firefox, version 3.5 and later Adobe Flash version 10 and later At least 41 MB of free disk space

The First Time Configuration GUI specify which functions you want to make visible/usable to the end user. If you ever want to adjust this we have OmConfig.exe:

Starting OM The first time you access a system you will be prompted to add the IP address of your managed devices UC500 Data VLAN address for UC500 In my case, it was already there so I am prompted for credentials OM will discover users and settings, phones and groups, voice messaging data and a few other things each time it is launched. OM does not contain the authoritative database of the UC 500 The custom site settings and login information are preserved when you reinstall newer versions of OM.
