3. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION 15 – 17 May 2013 15 – 17 July 2013
The 'Autodromo Internazionale' of Mugello makes has made safety its business card. The most up-to-date systems are used at the track. The track stretches for 5245 metres through the Tuscan hills.
Thetrack is characterised by a long uphill straight that is over 1km in length, undulations and very fast, blind and challenging turns such as “Arrabbiata 1”and “Arrabbiata 2”.
Also worth noting is the Casanova-Savelli, a right-left downhill chicane, important in terms of the lap time. Another key point is the "San Donato" turn, the first of the track (located at the end of the aforementioned straight), where it's important to brake as late as possible. In 2011 the track was completely resurfaced using innovative techniques.
