4 What is the current advice given out? E.g. not to smoke at all, to only take antibiotics when absolutely necessary, to lay a baby on its back. What was the advice given out 10-15 years ago? E.g. smoking was acceptable, antibiotics were given out freely, to place a baby on its tummy to sleep.

5 Ideas have changed over time because of: Advances in technology Medical research has found out new things e.g. smoking causes cancer Surveys have been carried out New laws have come into place e.g. smoking ban, 18+ to buy cigarettes as from 1.10.07!

6 Title: How have ideas about health and well being changed over time Write up your work on the Health and lifestyle survey. Explain how our ideas have changed over time.

7 Graphs Statistics Tables of results If you include figures from before it will show how the new advice given has had an effect on the latest figures. You should see a drop in cases of cot death etc

8 Look at the website and use this survey to further your ideas of how the definitions of health have changed over time.
