End Black Death Facts! It arrived in 1348.
It was also known as the Bubonic Plague It was from infected rats from ships. It spread as people brought ships of goods to new countries. Around half of the whole population of Europe died. 5 End You have thirty seconds to remember these facts without writing them down! When the timer is up, write down everything you can remember! Achievement points for 4 or more!

Cut a hole in your skull to let out the evil spirits!
Kill all the cats and dogs in the town!! Drink a glass of your own wee twice a day!! Sit in a sewer! The bad smells will leave no room for the Black Death smells. Slice the boils open, squeeze out the poison, then cover the wound with POO! 5 Place a live hen next to the swelling to draw out the illness from the body. What links all of these?? They are all cures people tried! Describe medieval medicine in your own words!

Medicine… People soon realised they knew very little about Medicine!
Nobody knew what caused the Black Death and not a single person in Britain knew how to cure it if you caught it! One of the effects of the Black Death then was that people realised old medicines were rubbish and needed to be changed!
