In Tales From A Not So Happily Ever After Nikki Maxwell is hit by a dodgeball in gym class by Mackenzie Hollister and becomes unconscious. She finds herself in a dream with familiar fairytale settings. Nikki’s BFFs also appear in her dream (but as fairytale characters). Will Nikki Maxwell find the Wizard of Odd (OZ)?

5. Setting Where did it happen? How about when? Gym Munchkin land Home
The main setting is the gym, it happened about 9-10:00 when Nikki got hit in the face by a dodgeball. I would call the “Munchkin Gym” “Munchkin Land”. Nikki finds herself there after she gets knocked out by the dodgeball. Nikki finds herself here twice, before school and after school.

Nikki Maxwell is a young girl who doesn’t have many friends and is pretty new to her school, unfortunately one girl at her school doesn’t make it easier.
Brianna Maxwell is a sweet funny little girl, she is Nikki Maxwell’s little sister. Throughout the story she is trying to get Nikki to try something new.
Mackenzie Hollister is what you would call your average popular girl bullie. She is very jealous of Nikki throughout the series.
Brandon Roberts is Nikki Maxwell’s not so secret crush, he secretly also has a crush on her, he plays Prince Charming in Nikki’s dream.

I give this story 5 stars because all of the Dork Diaries books have very deep emotions and this one was just amazing.
