Basic Navigation Zooming
Zooming can be performed with the “Zoom in mode” / “Zoom out mode” icons Execute a single click or drag a box

Zooming in can also be done in “Select Mode” by holding down Ctrl button and dragging a box Ctrl + Shift and drag a box to zoom out

Basic Navigation….. Panning
Panning can either be done by using “Pan Mode” to drag the map or by using the grey pointers at the edge of the map

Window options Various panes can be resized, collapsed and expanded using the slider controls on window borders. Try maximising the map view by hiding all other panes

Object selection Use “Select Mode” Click to select individual object
Drag a box to do a multi-select Object selection may result in multiple results in the Object Lister pane

File > Options > Replace Selection Use View > Clear Selection to clear the map

Using the trail Used to measure distances and areas
Tools > Trail or switch to the Measure tab Place trail points on the map to define a trail

Layers Equivalent to Themes in the old system
Select Tools > Layers to make visible the layers widget: Note layers may vary depending on which area you are viewing Toggle Layers on and off Wait for the system to redraw the map

Accessing Supplementals
Anywhere on the map, select the Supplemental Diagrams button to list the supplementals found in that area

The Object Lister in the lower half of the window will then show the RMS Rasters and RMS Supplementary Rasters found:

Searching On the Addresses tab Enter available address information
Hit Search Results displayed in the Object Lister Fields support use of wildcard (*) character for address matching

Hold down Shift key and click on the map to capture (copy to Windows clipboard) the grid reference value under the click

Plotting Print to File vs Plot
Print to File tab for simple plots launched in a separate browser window Plot tab allows you to build more complex plot jobs ( e.g., multiple pages) and plot directly to nominated device

Click Plot icon to generate plot job Select “Refresh Job Status” to see the progress of the plot

Multiple frames aligned along an asset – build a “plot series” Hit “Plot” Plots can take a while to generate – be patient!

While on the Plot tab, hover the mouse pointer over the rotate control on a plot frame: Cursor will update, allowing you to rotate the frame with a mouse drag
