4. NAFTrack and its Components
Talking Points:
Education and business leaders designed NAFTrack Certification to measure college and career readiness.
NAFTrack Certification can be broken into 3 elements: NT Certification, myNAFTrack and NAFTrack Certified Hiring.
NTC is the vehicle by which student work and skills are collected and progress toward certification can be monitored.
myNAFTrack is the newest platform within NAFTrack in which students are able to upload selected works, resumes & reflections and are also able to view job and internships opportunities with NAFTrack Business partners.
NAFTrack Certified Hiring is the business side of the platform where businesses sign on to some or all of the preferential hiring practices in NAFTrack.

6. NAFTrack Certification Requirements
In order for you to become NAFTrack Certified, you must complete the course, the project (if NAF) and the internship. A total of 4 semester courses are required for NAFTrack Certification. If you are in a NAF course, you must receive at least a 24 on the End-of-Course assessment as well as a 3 or 4 on both the Project you submit and the Internship assessment that your supervisor will complete.
For PTLW courses, you will request credit for the class in NTC and if you receive a 4 or better on the PLTW test, you will receive credit toward NTC. 3+

7. Pathways to NAFTrack Certification
A total of 4 semester courses are required for NAFTrack Certification. You can achieve that through the PLTW courses, NAF courses or a combination of NAF, AP, dual credit, and PLTW.
As we just mentioned you must get a 24 on the test with NAF courses plus the project score of at least 3. PLTW requires a stanine score of 4 or better. AP & IB, Stem 101, Paxton Patterson, Cisco and Dual Enrollment course credits can be achieved by getting a C or better in the class.

That NAF students are prepared for the next chapter in their lives and NAFTrack Certification is one of the tools that helps to illustrate that.

NTC is a platform that collects projects and achievements while you are in the academy. When you participate in NTC you are more prepared for college or your career and will qualify for LIFETIME benefits in NAFTrack Certified Hiring.

11. The students, once they have been uploaded into NAFTrack Certification, need to activate their NAFTrack certification accounts at before they go to the myNAFTrack platform.  So for new students (freshmen), they need to click on “Register” in the bottom right of the first picture, 

12. They then need to fill out the registration page using the student ID# from NAFTrack Certification. They only do this once.

13. Once registered, they access both programs through the site and select which program they would like to use.

14. When you log in to NAFTrack Certification you will be able to see the course you are currently enrolled in, the courses you’ve taken in the past, the projects you’ve completed and your progress throughout your time in the academy.

myNAFTrack is the newest platform that is available to you for the rest of your working life. This professional network will connect you to employers and alumni in the system.

Build a professional online profile and portfolio to easily showcase work to employers
Access to a wide range of potential internship and job opportunities
Access to a library of career resources
On this site, you will be able to build your professional profile to showcase your skills and abilities to potential employers. This is also a place where you will be able to apply for jobs and internships.

18. Once in, you will see your name and be able to check your progress by clicking on the NAFTrack Certification badge or your profile by clicking on myNAFTrack badge.

19. Click on your profile under myNAFTrack and some things are automatically populated for you such as your name and academy. You have the opportunity to enter other information much the same way you do building a LinkedIn account. You can even upload your picture. But again, this needs to be a professional one.

20. While in your profile, you can also upload a resume and cover letter or you can enter information to create a resume by typing it in these fields.

21. When you click on Opportunities on myNAFTrack, you are able to view the companies that are already in NAFTrack Certified Hiring as well as internships and job postings with that company. It’s also a good place for you to look at jobs available to get an understanding of what is out there and what skills employers are seeking.

22. When you click on a particular position, you can link directly to that company’s HR page or contact information so you can pursue applying for any openings.
