The star came from Poland.
We use it to put at the top of the tree.
Stars have a special meaning as they share the heavens no matter what barriers keep them apart.

4. Tinsel Tinsel symbolizes light
Light was thought to be magic enough to ensure darkness had no power.
There was a poor widow who wanted a memorable Christmas but all she had was a tree. A spider spun webs all over the tree and eventually they turned into tinsel.

5. Candles First used in the church
Used in windows to let priests know they were welcome in the home
