2. The Environmental Impact of Litter and Waste
The produce and packaging we buy will eventually become waste. There are many processes involved in the manufacturing of everyday materials such as paper, plastic and aluminium.
Paper and plastic are the main waste problems in our school. They are ending up in landfill and we will see the impact this is having on the environment.
In order to understand the impact our everyday choices are having on the environment, we must examine the processes involved in the manufacture and use of produce and the impact this is having on our local environment.

6. The Wider Issue
It is clear that the manufacture of everyday materials has a wider global impact.
We need to rethink our actions and our use of everyday materials.
Reducing waste and recycling are effective ways to reduce harmful greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. They achieve this by helping to divert waste from landfills where anaerobic decomposition occurs and by helping save energy in the manufacture of materials.
As consumers it is our responsibility that we are recycling paper, plastic, cardboard and cans.
