Described as a faithful servant & fighter; able to take orders (Ex 17:9-16)
Was a “choice man” of Moses; but that distinction never goes to his head (Num 11:25- 29)
A man in whom was the Spirit (Num 27:18)
Observed the LORD’S divine reminders (Ex 17:14)

4. Joshua’s Character Did not depart from the tabernacle (Ex. 33:11)
Confronted unfaithfulness; encouraged obedience (Num. 14:6-10)
Renewed covenant, requiring sacrifice & faith (Josh 5:1-9)
Carried out necessary punishment (Josh 7:10-15)
Learned from mistakes, but failure to inquire of the LORD affected generations to come (Josh 9:14)
