Dear Applicant, Thank you for showing an interest in our advert for the post of School Business Manager. We are a Church school, based in  Holborn, and situated only 3 minutes from Chancery Lane tube station. The school is a vibrant place to be with lots of exciting things going on. Our school is made up of children and staff from lots of different backgrounds and faith communities. We pride ourselves in valuing the unique child, and celebrating diversity. 5 Information about our school
Our mission statement is: ‘Learning Together.’ We therefore see ourselves as a learning community and believe that through exploring and discovering together, we can all achieve. Organisation Our classes are organised in the following way: an Early Years Foundation team which consists of a nursery and a reception class one Year 1 class one Year 2 class one Year 3 class one Year 4 class one Year 5 class one Year 6 class. Staff The school is currently led by the senior leadership team, which consists of the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Inclusion and a senior teacher who takes a lead on aspects of school improvement. The staff work closely together in order to share skills and expertise. The co-ordination of subjects and areas of school improvement is distributed amongst the staff according to skills, experience and expertise. We are fortunate to have an excellent team of support staff who support the running of the school. We have a very committed staff team, who are hard working, have a sense of humour and enjoy working and socialising together!

Person Specification: E = essential. D = desirable Qualifications and Experience 1 Educated to A level standard or skills commensurate with this level of education and holding Maths and English GCSE ‘C’ or above. (E) 2 Qualified to degree level or equivalent. (D) 3 ICT literate, to an advanced level, including advanced use of Excel, Word and Powerpoint. (E) 4 Evidence of training in leadership and management. (D) 5 Willing to undertake ongoing, relevant Continuous Professional Development. (E) Experience 6 Experience of financial management, HR and administrative management. (E) 7 Experience of having worked in an educational context, the public sector or comparable organisation. (D) Knowledge and Awareness 8 Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation on a local and national level. (E) 9 Knowledge of the lines and methods of communication that apply in a school setting. (E) 10 Knowledge of data collection and analysis systems. 10 Application Process Candidates are asked to complete all the standard information required on the LDBS application form, and to submit a supporting statement, addressing all the criteria identified in the Person Specification. Completed application forms must be received by midday on Friday 12th May. Shortlisting will take place 12th May in the afternoon and interviews during the week of Monday 22nd May 2017.
