Plants turn towards the light and their roots grow down into the soil.

Animals have babies.
New plants grow from seeds.

13. All living things respond to changes in their surroundings
All living things respond to changes in their surroundings. They respond/react to their environment.
Ex. Plants grow towards the light.
Ex. People react to the temperature around them.

All living things need Nutrition

15. Animals need food for energy.
Plants need minerals from the soil. Green plants make their own food using sunlight. Through a process called photosynthesis.

Plants get rid of oxygen gas and water.
