2. What is National Security?
National Security includes the practices and concepts that are created and maintained by the United States Government to protect its citizens. In this case we are tying everything to the balance between liberty and order, which are the two prominent opposing forces in establishing national security policy.
Liberty – the freedom to act or believe without being stopped by unnecessary force
Order - conformity or obedience to law or established authority; absence of disturbance, riot, revolt, unruliness
