17 My Vision and Values statement
On behalf of the children, staff, and governors, I welcome you to The Priory CE VA Primary School in Christchurch, where children are at the very heart of all that we plan and do. Each child, uniquely made in God's image, merits the best we can give. We are a values-centred school, where all are inspired to learn and achieve in a caring Christian community. All members of that community; staff, Governors, parents, carers and many willing volunteers are always working for the benefit of our pupils. We strive for outstanding outcomes for all our pupils – to be the best that they can be. We promote and expect high standards of endeavour and conduct in a safe, disciplined and stimulating environment. Our school is focused on nurturing the children's academic, physical and spiritual development, thereby laying down good foundations for life. In following a broad and balanced curriculum, we aim to encourage active and self-motivated pupils, with a life-long love of learning. We want to inspire our pupils to think about the wider world and how they can make a positive contribution to society. We aim for our Year 6 leavers to be compassionate and responsible citizens, ready to embrace ‘life in all its fullness’. “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” Martin Luther King
