Measuring Seasonality of Tourism in the European Union Eurostat data collection on tourism Legal Base: Council Directive on Tourism Statistics of 1995 Data collection on Accommodation capacities (establishments, bedrooms, bedplaces) Use of accommodation capacities (arrivals, nights spent, occupancy rates Data on the travel behaviour of the resident population Transmission period: Annual data: provisional 6 months, final 12 months Quarterly data : provisional 3 months, final 6 months Monthly data: provisional 3 months, final 6 months Monthly data (for seasonal analysis) only on national level available
