2. Area explanation
Area is just like perimeter but multiplying the numbers instead of adding.
The way you find area is length x width.
Then square it because its 2D
If you had a square 4 by 4 centimeters you would times the length and width of the shape. 4x4=16centimenters then squared.

3. Real Life
If you wanted to make a 22 by 26 house you would need to know the flooring of the house.
If a transfer truck had only 12 by 12 fitting room how much could they put In the truck.

Ryan is putting in his kitchen floor and it is a 7 by 8 floor. First we need to know the length and width it is 7 and 8. Next we need to multiply the width and length it is 7x8=56 tiles.
