Overview The uEZ GUI Family provides an instant, cost-effective Touch Screen Graphical User Interface for any embedded product. And let’s face it, that 1980’s looking character based green LCD and 4x4 keypad is no longer an acceptable User Interface for today’s products. The uEZ® GUI is a compact, highly integrated LCD Controller platform. The board provides USB Device communications and supports the addition of an Expansion Board for additional communication interface options. It includes an LED backlight power and control circuit.

uEZ® GUI 7.0 LPC1788 PCB Assembly
The major features and components of the uEZ GUI are listed on this slide. MicroSD card socket for removable memory Mini-JTAG connector for JTAG debug connection to the microcontroller Mini-ISP connector for In-System-Programming capabilities. Power-On Reset chip Heartbeat LED I2C EEPROM from NXP Semiconductors 2Mx32 SDRAM (8MBytes total) for LCD Frame Buffer (storage of images displayed on LCD) And of course the LPC2478 microcontroller from NXP Semiconductors The PCB dimensions are 6.70 inches by 5.20 inches and mates directly to the back of the LCD (also provides mounting holes for the uEZ GUI assembly). uEZ® GUI PCB Assembly 7.0” TFT WVGA LCD Stylus for touch Screen USB Cable Documentation on microSD Card Quick Start Guide Graphical User Interface demos Segger J-Link Lite Debugger The uEZ GUI kit contains more than just the hardware platform. The kit also includes a uSD Card for slide show storage and file storage purposes. All of the kit documentation is included on this uSD Card and can be read or copied to the PC via the USB Device port connection. When the uEZ GUI is connected to a PC the uSD Card will appear as a standard USB Flash Drive. A USB Device cable is included. A Segger Jlink Lite Debugger is included in the kit. This allows new code to be down loaded to the kit but it also supports real-time debug via JTAG. Documentation on the hardware, middleware and a Quick-Start guide are included in the kit. All of the uEZ GUI units are available as Development Kits and as –BA (Board Assemblies) for volume production. Just add a –BA to any uEZ GUI P/N and you have the P/N for the volume unit.
