Metric Mania: Finish up lab.
Make sure you are able to use each equipment accurately. Make sure you know what units are used for each equipment and what is being measured. Make sure you know how to appropriately get the equipment and to return it. You have 10 minutes (or 2 songs) to finish up the lab.

Objectives: I can explain and describe what is SI.
I can explain and describe what are the SI units for length, volume, and mass. I can explain and describe which measurements are used for large and small quantities. I can use the factor label method (FLM) to convert from larger to smaller quantities and vice versa.

Review: Talk with your classmate
Which is bigger? km cm g mg dag dg

Factor Label Method: Now let’s try actual metric measurements
2000 meters = ___________ cm
11
Factor Label Method: Here’s another one…
20 kilograms = ___________ grams
12
Factor Label Method: And another one…
30 milliliters = ___________ liters

Factor Label Method: And another one…
30 milliliters = ___________ centiliters
14
Factor Label Method: Now let’s try some more
20 kilometers = ___________ cm
