8 CVUHSD LCAP Goal #1 Close the achievement gap between all students and the District's five lowest performing subgroups by increasing the percentage of EL, Black/African-American , SpEd, Foster Youth, and Low Income students who graduate and meet A-G requirements.

Expected: Increase the percent of English Learner students making annual progress in learning English as measured on the California English Language Development Test (CELDT ) from 49.2% to 51.2% Actual: Partial increase, 255 (49.2%) to 417 (49.3%) English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) The ELPAC will be the successor to the California English Language Development Test (CELDT). The CELDT is the current required state test for English language proficiency that must be given to students whose primary language is other than English. State and federal law require that local educational agencies administer a state test of English language proficiency (ELP) to eligible students in kindergarten through grade twelve. The California Department of Education (CDE) is transitioning from the CELDT to the ELPAC as the state ELP assessment by The ELPAC will be aligned with the 2012 California English Language Development Standards. It will be comprised of two separate ELP assessments: one for the initial identification of students as English learners (ELs), and a second for the annual summative assessment to measure a student’s progress in learning English and to identify the student's level of ELP.

12 CVUHSD LCAP Goal #2 Build local capacity to fully implement evidenced-based practices in all educational settings and organizational environments to promote students' academic achievement and behavioral health.

13 Goal 2: Annual Measurable Outcome Progress Monitoring
Expected/Actual: District administrators and teachers on special assignment conduct quarterly Learning Walks across all district school sites utilizing the CVUHSD observation tool to aggregate data regarding implementation of the Common Core State Standards, key instructional practices and classroom environment. Site administrators conduct Learning Walks twice a month and include teacher leaders.

Expected/Actual: The Parent Involvement Plan is updated with input from the DELAC and the DPAC and the action plan is fully implemented to increase parental and community involvement.

15 CVUHSD LCAP Goal #3 Enhance the capacity of the organization to implement innovative, research-based programs that address the organization's primary needs and each school's particular circumstances. Appropriate systems of school support are fully operational at the organizational level by ensuring the alignment of educational, human, and fiscal resources. Data is relied upon to identify and implement programs, all of which are research-based and aligned with the Common Core State Standards.

Expected: Lloyde High School meets the eligibility criteria to submit an application for the Model Continuation High School Recognition Program. Actual: Lloyde HS has been recommended for recognition as a Model Continuation High School. Awards will be announced April 29th

Expected: Hawthorne High School is recognized by AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) by being certified as a Schoolwide Site of Distinction. Actual: Hawthorne HS submitted their AVID Schoolwide Site of Distinction application defining their process and impact metrics in January 2016.
