Calibration Standard ISO Petroleum and liquid petroleum products -- Calibration of horizontal cylindrical tanks -- Part 2: Internal electro-optical distance-ranging method Abstract ISO :2002 specifies a method for the calibration of horizontal cylindrical tanks having diameters greater than 2 m by means of internal measurements using an electro-optical distance-ranging instrument, and for the subsequent compilation of tank-capacity tables. This method is known as the internal electro-optical distance-ranging (EODR) method. Finds the slope of the tank, (Angle) Finds the direction and position of the tank, Finds the diameter of the tank, (R) Finds Interior  dimensions of the tank  (H, L) Finds the diameter of the tank dome, (Rd) Makes the mathematical model of the tank. (f (x) Generates calibration data through 3D modeling and sophisticated mathematical algorithms. 11 CalibeX™ Measuring Accuracy
Calibex creates highly reliable results in both lab tests and field tests. In Laboratory and field testing platform the maximum possible sensitivity level available today is not better than % 0.2 (two per thousand) for detection of the volumetric uncertainty. All lab and field tests of Calibex the accuracy results are between % 0.2 and % 0.9 These are guarantied uncertainty values. (Information reported in writing by TUBITAK UME.) 14 CalibeX™ Field Application Requirements
In the event of there is fuel in the tank , the diameter the fuel level should not exceed  30 % of total measuring span.  In other words, in 2,000 mm (2 m) diameter tank max. Fuel level should be  300 mm which approximately corresponds to litres of fuel in the tank.  This level must be provided. The system,  should be mounted on the existing level probe provision on the tank cover. In this case if there is a level probe on the tank cover, it should be dismantled during laser scanning and re-installed after the process. If there is no level sensor in the tank the scanning process should be done on the level measurement provision for the best result. 15 CalibeX™ Manhole Application Requirements
CalibeX requires minimum  of 15 cm in a circular area , 50 cm height above 2 “ Tank provision the free area  for installation. If  the submersible pumps, pipes, connections, etc in the ManHole does not allow for such space then, some of the equipments on the cover should be dismanteled  for a period of scanning (likely %10 of all tanks ) Asis Automation & Fueling Systems A.Ş.
