One Module = One Week One Course = 4-6 Modules (Weeks) One Lesson
Three Lessons = ~90 min One Course = 4-6 Modules (Weeks) One Lesson Approx. ½ hour Lesson Two Audience = entry level freshmen, where content can be useful to a number of disciplines (general education and majors) “Big Think” = “Mini Ted Talks” SUNY students don’t have to pay extra to access the modules. Let’s create courses that can be used embedded within existing on-campus credit bearing courses Consider starting small - with 2 cross-campus teams developing two Coursera courses. Topics are up to the faculty – but let’s leverage topical expertise (and what you feel most passionate about). Lesson Three 4-7 min Video PDF Reading Opt. Quiz Opt. Add’l Video(s) Lesson One Coursera recommends learning outcomes on the module-level, which should provide guidance on the materials needed to cover that outcome. Research suggests ½ hour of content is optimal for working adults One course typically equals 4-6 modules (weeks) worth of content
