Facebook Before/after pictures Video Links to articles
Events you’re promoting Different interaction on this platform Facebook is great because you can use it to do things you can’t on your own Web site, either because of a complex content management system or because of having to pay for server space. On Facebook, you can post all the pictures and videos you would like—for free!

Facebook Metro DC chapter outlines what it’s posting on what day: Member Monday is a profile on a member; Tuesday’s Tip focuses on a homeowner-focused remodeling tip; Thankful Thursday highlights a community –service activity of a member company. Friday is a composite of a CotY-award winning project. Some other ideas, based on what Tri-Lite Builders used to do when it first created its page: Thursday is Where is Tri-Lite, where they talk about a current project. Wednesday is Green Alert, where they post something about green remodeling. Trend Tuesday, Help out Monday, where they talk about a local charity or event. A content plan will help you plan for your content so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming.

Facebook Pine Street Carpenters & The Kitchen Studio posted videos of a project they did at Tyler Arboretum as well as the media coverage they received from that. NARI posts some of the better interviews we’ve done at the Remodeling Show.

Facebook Use the albums section to display images by project type or project. I would also include befores for comparison. And add project descriptions. What did the homeowners want to accomplish. What am I seeing in this image that shows how you were able to meet that need? What was challenging? What are the products?

Facebook You can use free online software to create photo collages that show details or befores and after. Don’t forget to provide information about the photos when you post. For instance, this is pointing to out-of-the-box thinking, with the sink being in the island and a window over the small inset cabinets.

Facebook PicMonkey.com is a collage-creating site. You have a variety of choices, for free, for photo collages. There is even a grouping sized specifically to Facebook cover images. Pinterest-specific layouts are available with upgrade, which starts at $2.75/month. The free version allows you to change background color, size between the images and how rounded the image borders are.

Facebook advertising Similar to Google AdWords, you set a dollar limit per day. Can put in qualifiers such as gender, age, location Can target “likes” People who already “like” your page won’t see ad

Facebook advertising Milwaukee NARI started a Facebook campaign for $8-$10/day, three weeks out of the Spring Home Show. During that time, they added 700 Facebook likes, which also increased traffic to the chapter’s Website. Facebook’s interface allows you to change ads each day, with all of them uploaded at one time and you designated what you want to be visible when.
