2. Selecting Your Courses in
To Log onto Naviance, go to
 Bulletin Board  Click on Naviance Link for Incoming 9th Graders

3. Login Instructions Username = S+ Student ID Password =1st letter of last name +6 digit birthdate + lowercase s

4. Take Career Pathway Survey: Click on about me tab
Take Career Pathway Survey: Click on about me tab. Under surveys to take select career pathway

5. Next, go back to the Home Page of Family Connection: Click on Courses Tab

6. Click on Manage My Course Plans

7. Click on Add a New Plan

8. Click on Create New Draft Plan

9. Choose one of the 5 Endorsements

10. Click on English and select the course you want to take next school year

11. Click on Math and select the course you want to take next year by clicking in the box next to the course name

12. Click on Social Studies and select the course you want to take next year by clicking in the box next to the course name

13. Click on Science and select the course you want to take next year by clicking the box next to the course

14. If you have selected any of the following courses, go to the Fine Arts tab and select the course (s) on your choice sheet.

15. IF you have selected one of the following courses, select the language other than english tab.
Computer Science I French I French II Spanish I Spanish II Spanish III Pre-AP

16. Next, go to the PE tab if you have selected any of the following courses.
Aerobic Conditioning Aerobic Dance Individual Sports JROTC Marching Band Musical Theater Dance Pre-Drill-Aerobic Dance Team Sports

17. Go to the athletics double-blocked tab for the following courses:
Basketball Football Volleyball *These courses take up 2 periods.

18. If you have other courses written on your course contract, select elective tab.
Examples: Business Information Management Debate Graphic Design & Illustration Graphic Design & Illustration-Yearbook Graphic Design & Illustration-Newspaper Journalism Oral Interpretation Principles of Agriculture Principles of Hospitality/Human Services Principles of Business, Marketing, & Finance

19. Click on 3. Review & Finalize at the top of the page

20. Count to make sure you have 8 classes
Click on View by Grade Level
Count to make sure you have 8 classes
***You will have 8.5 if you are doing Marching Band or Cross Country/Track after school. You will have 7.0 if you are doing Double Block Athletics or Algebra I.

21. Students and Parents can make changes in Naviance until March 11th
You will get a list of your classes sometime in May. If you would like to make changes, please follow the directions in that letter.
You will have until June 10th to make any
‘Change of mind’ requests.
