7 Step by Step-Finding Sale Price
Step 1: Multiply the regular price by the discount percent(written as a decimal). You find the DISCOUNT Step 2: Subtract the Discount from the regular price. You find the sale price SALE PRICE

8 Example #1 A shirt is regularly priced at $36.00 It is on sale at 25% off. What is the sale price?

A shirt is regularly priced at $36.00 It is on sale at 25% off. What is the sale price? Step 1: Multiply the regular price by the discount percent. (36)(25%.25) = 9 Step 2: Subtract the Discount from the regular price. You find the sale price 36 – 9 = 27 The sale price is $27

The regular price of a suit is $ It is discounted 10%

The regular price of a suit is $ It is discounted 10%. Find the sale price ? Step 1: Multiply the regular price by the discount percent. (150)(10%.10) = 15 Step 2: Subtract the Discount from the regular price. You find the sale price 150 – 15 = 135 The sale price is $135

Sneakers selling at $45.00, on sale at 25% off. Sweaters selling regularly at $50.00 discounted 50%. Sunglasses selling at 29.95, on sale at 15% CD’s selling regularly at $14.95 on sale at 10% off.

Step 2: Multiply that number(as a decimal) by the regular price – SALE PRICE
