3 Recent History Jun-09 Outcome of Ballot to Publish: Positive votes Abstention votes Negative votes Fall-09 Worked with negative voters to find acceptable amendments. Focus was on PQS’s in Annex C Nov-09 Meeting of 17Q Task Group agreed proposed amendments to the document. Both negative voters agreed to the proposed changes. Jan-10 Revised document posted on API website and any final comments requested. Feb-10 Scheduled Ballot for Publication (Note: Ballot for Publication required owing to Technical changes). Page 3

PQS Sheets in Rev 0 Annex A lists the Subsea components PQS Sheets are detailed in Annex C Rev 0 PQS sheets detail references to API documents as well as specifics of testing required. Also listed are tests that are supplemental to industry standards. Page 4

5 Proposed change to PQS sheets
Subsea Systems References to Industry Specs detailing validation testing moved from the individual PQS sheets to a table in Annex A. The individual tests are no longer detailed on the PQS pro forma’s in the RP document. Supplier will populate the individual Validation Tests from the specified API Specs. Either the Supplier or the Operator can detail/specify Validation Tests that are in supplemental to industry specs. Page 5

6 TRL Recorded on PQS PQS example
Proposed changes include adding a box in the PQS to enable Supplier to provide TRL number (in accordance with API 17N). Page 6

7 PQS Color Coding PQS example
Proposed changes to the color coding on the PQS sheet to enable either Operator or Supplier to detail qualification tests. A. Yellow areas designed to be completed by Supplier. Blue areas designed to be completed by Operator. White areas can be completed by either Supplier or Operator. C. B. A. Page 7
