Columbia University “Safest Urban University”
According to a February 2004 article in the “Daily Pennsylvanian” Columbia was declared the safest urban university in the country, based on a report by the Student-Alumni Committee on Institutional Security Policy. Columbia was named one of the safest urban schools in the US in Reader’s Digest Magazine’s March 2008 issue. American College Health Association National College Health Assessment March 2011 Survey, 99.5 % of our Students stated that they “felt safe” at Columbia.
