Motion: if your distance from another object (place) is changing. Reference point: is a place or object used for comparison to determine if something is in motion. An object is in motion if it changes position relative to a reference point.

Relative Motion: involves your aunts, uncles, cousins (lol; just kidding). Are you moving depends on your reference point? Reference point: your chair Moving? No Reference point: Sun Moving? Yes; moving very fast (30 km/s)

Describing Velocity velocity = speed + direction Graphing Motion Slope = steepness of the line; steeper = faster speed; gentle = slower Horizontal line = object stopped Constant slope = constant speed Slope (speed) = distance time change in slope = change in speed.
