What is a Habit? Habit: an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary It takes 21 days to create a habit (doing it often on most days) It takes 90 days to internalize a habit so that you do it without thinking.

Try This Cross your arms. Now try crossing them the other way.
Does it feel strange? Would it feel strange after practicing for several months?

Table Talk With your table group, talk about the habits you have (good or bad). make a list of good and bad habits in your Cornell notes Be prepared to share your ideas with the class.

Silent Reading Read pages 3-9 in the book entitled The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey Take notes on five things that you didn’t already know before reading this section.

Summary Habits can be useful or troublesome
Creating new habits can take time, but the benefits outweigh the effort
