2 What is a Habit? Habit: an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary It takes 21 days to create a habit (doing it often on most days) It takes 90 days to internalize a habit so that you do it without thinking.

3 Try This Cross your arms. Now try crossing them the other way.
Does it feel strange? Would it feel strange after practicing for several months?

4 Table Talk With your table group, talk about the habits you have (good or bad). make a list of good and bad habits in your Cornell notes Be prepared to share your ideas with the class.

5 Silent Reading Read pages 3-9 in the book entitled The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey Take notes on five things that you didn’t already know before reading this section.

7 Summary Habits can be useful or troublesome
Creating new habits can take time, but the benefits outweigh the effort

8 With Your Group Take turns choosing activity cards. Discuss with your group.
