Our topic next term is ‘Beside the Seaside’.
Year 2 Holiday Home Learning - Due in Wednesday 18th April 2018 Easter Home Learning Our topic next term is ‘Beside the Seaside’. Our science topic next term is ‘Plants’. For home learning, we would like you to find out more about British beaches or plants. We would like you to create a project about one (or both) of these and bring it into school by Wednesday 18th April, ready to share with the class. If you choose the ‘Beside the Seaside’ project, you may wish to: Create a fact file about British beaches Compare British beaches from years ago and what they are like now Make your own lighthouse or beach hut Complete a diary about your trip to a beach If you choose the ‘Plants’ project, you may wish to: Create a plant out of different materials Grow your own plant and record your findings Create an observational drawing of a plant Create a plant life cycle These are just a few ideas and you may have many more that you wish to explore. We would like you to practise your handwriting, addition and subtraction and times tables over the Easter. We have also set you a ‘Sumdog’ challenge so if you would like to compete, simply log on and take part. Good luck! You have worked extremely hard this term and we look forward to another exciting term after Easter. Enjoy the Easter break! Thank you, Miss Cosstick and Miss Moir
