How does this affect RPES?
This slide varies depending on the nature of the presentation. For countries that are presenting on the projects not part of the RPES (Bangladesh, Lao PDR, Nepal and Timor Leste) the slide presents an opportunity to identify how the RPES could support the current project or how the project could be used to help other project country members – a case study for regional dissemination for example.
For countries presenting on an RPES project (Bhutan, Cambodia, Maldives, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Viet Nam) the focus is on
“how do the lessons affect future project implementation”. This can be for your country perspective or recommendations for the RPES project and other countries considering similar projects.

Increasing the response rate of the sample surveys
Relations/coordination with other Agencies, which do not have DCS-posted statistical staff
Usage of social media as a mode of making public aware on the activities of DCS

to refine / streamline and apply prioritization

Should include standards and process documentation; assessment of data quality
Should look at the wider coordination across NSS
Should be reviewed in the broader context of user engagement; data dissemination and communication in the NSS
Consider this as one of the provisions to be recommended in a revised Statistics Act (to strengthen role and mandate of DCS)

7. Overcome Assess the OSP concerning National Development Plan and SDGs
Should be reviewed comprehensively to look at compliance with institutional and organizational improvements needed in the NSS, and strengthening DCS coordination mandate, role of other data producers, data users and data providers.

8. Plan to Progress Setting-up the NSDS team within DCS
(with responsibility and autonomy to coordinate NSDS-related activities; identify focal person/s to co-ordinate the activities with UNESCAP and PARIS21 including with other stakeholders in the NSS),according to the rules and regulations of the DCS.

Conducting a survey is the last option on gathering data since administrative data is the source of accurate statistis
Proper awareness campaign for respondents about the value of economic statistics
