Warning Signs and how to respond in a stroke emergency Encouraging audience to share the message – tell 2 of their loved ones World Stroke Day Strategy: Create an emotional connection and leverage music to inspire those around us to learn F.A.S.T. through a song Increasing awareness of F.A.S.T. Warning Signs for key target groups (high at-risk audiences & their families) and how to respond in a stroke emergency Encouraging key target groups to share the message – tell 2 of their loved ones 9/17/2018 ©2015, American Stroke Association

4 What if singing a song could give someone the power to spot stroke signs and take action? And what if sharing the song could spread that power all around the world? Imagine the lifesaving impact it could have. That's the idea behind the F.A.S.T Song. It turns the F.A.S.T. stroke warning signs into a short, catchy song that stays in your head and in your heart. Once you know the song, you know how to make a difference and possibly even save a life. This World Stroke Day, people of all ages and all cultures will be singing the F.A.S.T. Song. Celebrities will post their versions in musical styles ranging from pop to country to hip hop to Latin to gospel to operatic. Church choirs, school glee clubs and senior center vocal groups will share their renditions. Individuals, families and coworkers will sing the song and send it to friends on social media.

5 Secondary Target Audience: Millenial (Bystanders) 25-34
