Position Type of stakeholder Contact Details Download here An important process to follow as you are identify stakeholders, is to start putting together a stakeholder database containing all your stakeholder information and contact details. This makes it easy to track your stakeholders and also ensure that you have representation from the different categories and sectors. You can customise this sheet by adding other new columns and tabs based on the type of information you want to track.

Wide reaching and inclusive Easy process Web/sms options Ways in which you could get public stakeholder details is by: Including community meeting attendees in your database or Advertising for individuals to register on the project’s database This is what eThekwini Municipality did when they were developing their climate change strategy. They published an advert in local newspapers inviting stakeholders interested in the development of a climate change strategy for Durban to register on a project database. Stakeholders could register by or sms. EThekwini Municipality was able to then update their database with interested public stakeholders.
