Know: how to use expressive skills such facial expressions, voice, movement and gesture. Do: develop and refine expressive skills to communicate non-verbal and verbal communication. Be: expressive through use of body language, facial expression and voice.

3. WHAT ARE EXPRESSIVE SKILLS?

4. EXPRESSIVE SKILLS
Is when EMOTION is expressed through the actors body language and facial expressions.
It is needed so the audience can relate or connect to the character according to the storyline.
Example: Red Riding Hood (Sweet innocent) VS Big Bad Wolf (Nasty and Greedy)

In pairs come up with a short role play (scene) between a Police Officer and a Driver using the expressive skills.

What did you do well? Eg clear voice, good facial expression
What do you need to work on to improve your perfomance?
Did you use class time effectively and work well with your partner?
What didn’t work well?
