Booster Club Forsyth County does NOT fund Athletics.
- They pay any state meet transportation. We are responsible for but not limited too… Pool usage, Hotels, food, & meet entries Uniforms – parkas, suits, caps, etc… Transportation - $1.85 per mile & bus driver is $16 per hour

State Championship Summary
Men were 14th in 400 Free Relay and 17th Medley Relay Women were 12th 200 Medley Relay and 13th in Free Relay 13 Individual State Qualifiers (7 Men/6 Women) 10 Returning State Qualifiers (5 Men/5 Women) Sheridan Schreiber was 4th in Girls Breaststroke and 5th place 100 Butterfly All American Consideration 100 Breaststroke Women Placed 9th overall, Men Finished 21st

Team Policies & Procedures
Meet Participation - Swim Meets are MANDATORY! Missed meets: Must be communicated directly to Coach Frederick a minimum of two weeks prior Multiple missed meets will results in removal from the team. Swimming is a TEAM Sport! Club swimmers at USA club meets are excused! Must be communicated via meet declaration! Meet participation means you stay until the end. Do not plan on leaving prior to the end of a meet. If you aren’t swimming you should be supporting your teammates who are.

Team Policies & Procedures
Practice Attendance Swimmers are expected to be at practice every day. Miss 5 practices you remove yourself from the program. 6:10AM – 7:30AM at SWAT (Swim Atlanta) Midway Location Athletes should be ready to enter the water at 6:10AM. If you need extra time to get ready - arrive early. SWAT will open between 5:50AM - 5:55AM daily. Practice will end anywhere from 7:15am-7:35am each day. Showers available at SWAT or WFHS locker rooms. Athletes must exit SWAT no later than 7:50am

Lettering Policy No more than 3 total absences for the season. Qualify for GHSA State Meet! Meet lettering qualifying times! Meet distance totals of 3000 Yards for Individual Events Any senior in good standing! Coaches Discretion All qualifications are subject to athletes being in good standing with the school and team!

Paperwork! Eligibility Physicals
Must be passing five of seven classes! Move-ins fill out Form “B” Semester Check Grades checked as of Jan. 1st for eligibility! Physicals Forms must be on file & cleared BEFORE practice. Physical, driving waiver, & concussion form complete. Turn in forms to Mrs. Jordan counseling office Get clearance form to give to Coach Heindl or Tillery.

Attendance Attendance Timeliness MANDATORY!
Missed practice(s) will result in missed events at meet. Inclined to sit swimmers from individual events rather than relays. Missing two days due to sickness means an athlete may not be physically ready to perform. Want/need healthy swimmers trying to push through and swimming sick is not a good thing! Stay Healthy so you can swim. Miss 5 practices you are removing yourself from the program! Timeliness On time is ready to get in water It isn’t arrival time

Look like a team! - Act like a team! Year round swimmers aren’t any better or worse, than those who swim the HS season only, or vice versa! Anything to the contrary whether in actions or in words will not be tolerated. Wear WEST! No club gear/logo’s allowed on team trips or meets.

We co-host two meets. It is MANDATORY to volunteer at one of the two meets! Helping with food at meets! Show up to meets and cheering in West colors! Ensure your athletes get good rest Help ensure your athletes get good nutrition. Help ensure your athletes have a positive attitude!

Other Items cont. Performance may not start where they left off last year. Rest, Hydration and Nutrition are very IMPORTANT! Don’t expect PR (Personal Record) every week Want best performances at State Meet! Stretching Conflicting views on Stretching - Not done as a team before practice or meets. If your swimmer(s) wants/needs to stretch they can plan on doing it on their own. Shaving Hundredths of a second count in swimming – shaving helps Not mandatory
