5 Questions 1-2 1. Searching by title locates books with the search term IN the title. Seaching by author locates books with the search term as the author’s name. Searching by series locates books with the search term in the series names. 2. Limiting by AR reading level narrows your results list to books within that reading range. It allows you to find books that are at your level.

6 Question 3 3. This call number tells us that the book is non-fiction. This helps us decide if we are looking for a book like that or not. The publication date shows how new the books are. In general, most students are interested in more recently published books. Although that’s not always the case.

7 Question 4 4. A summary of the book is provided. It can help us make a decision about whether that book might be interesting or not.

8 Question 5 & 6 5. You find books only by this author. If you know you like the author, this is a good way of finding another book by him or her. 6. The call number tells us that it’s a biography – the true story of his life.
