The easiest way to save your presentation is up here in the Quick Access Toolbar. Yours may look different than mine, but we will both have this Save icon and can click it to save docs. Click to read about the Quick Access Toolbar

The first time you save a presentation, you come to this area, called the Backstage. The Backstage is all about opening, saving, modifying options, plus printing your PowerPoint deck in a variety of ways.

Save As is selected when you first save a presentation
Save As is selected when you first save a presentation. Here you choose whether you want to save it to your device, or to the cloud. Tony has options at work: He can add his business files to a SharePoint site or his OneDrive for Business account. There are other options, Tony can add external hard drives, other online storage, but let’s add a personal OneDrive account for his home files. Anyone can use a free OneDrive account, it comes with 15 GB of storage, and if you have an Office 365 subscription, it expands to 1 terabyte of storage. You save a doc the same way as you would to your device, except that now you can access the doc from any device connected to the internet.

Take a moment to… Click File to open the Backstage. See the options including Share. Click Save. Are you signed into OneDrive? Sign in or join if you want. Click Print. Look at the different ways to print under Full page slides.

Click to get info on Office Online & the mobile apps
In the Backstage there are several ways to share your presentation. You can attach to an , but if you save to the cloud and send a link there’s just one copy, always with the latest updates. You can also Share with people directly and control the permissions of who can view and who can edit. And your collaborators don’t even need PowerPoint to work on it. There are free online and mobile apps they can use at office.com. Click to get info on Office Online & the mobile apps

With PowerPoint 2016, the easiest way to share is this new button right here.

Invite your collaborators and you can control who can edit and who can just view the presentations. Plus, you can always change these permissions. Or just generate a link by clicking here.

Take a moment to… Open a doc and hit the Share button. If your doc is not stored in the cloud, you’ll see this: Click Get a sharing link at the bottom.
