DNA: deoxyribonucleic acid
all living things are coded with DNA: deoxyribonucleic acid adenine (A) guanine (G) cytosine (C) thymine (T) Nucleotides- building blocks of DNA 99.9% of human DNA is exactly the same. 3 Billion bases, 20,000 genes, 23 (46) pairs of chromosomes

Octoploid: 8 copies of each chromosome 7,096 Genes Can we see DNA?
5
The DNA is stored in the nucleus of cells.
To access the DNA, we need to Break through the cell wall Break through the cell membrane Extract the DNA

(Breaking cell wall) Pour the strawberry solution through the coffee filter/funnel into the group 50 ml tube. Add a drop of soap to the tube. (Bypassing cell membrane) Swirl this tube, then transfer to the 5 ml tube. Add 2 ml rubbing alcohol to the 5ml tube. Do not stir. WATCH Wind the DNA out with the wooden stirrer
