Bannerman High School STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. Please see Mr Morrison in L4 for a consent form to see the new Star Wars film in 3D IMAX at the Glasgow Science Centre on Monday 18th December Forms and money (£13) must be returned as soon as possible. Limited spaces. BANNERMAN BUZZ. Interested in the News, photography or magazines? The team of the school magazine, The Bannerman Buzz, meets every Tuesday lunchtime in E3 from 1.00 pm (or just bring your lunch along from the start!). Come and meet the Editorial team to find out more - all year groups welcome! Mr de Smith. VOLLEYBALL CLUB. There will be a Volleyball club starting on a Monday lunchtime (1.00 pm) in Gym 1. Any pupil interested should speak to Mr Duguid or come along today at lunch for a game! Mr Duguid. RUGBY TRAINING. Just a reminder to any interested pupil that they can come down to the PE Dept after school on Wednesday's for some Rugby. This can be full contact or touch only. Anyone interested please speak to Mr Duguid. S2 FOOTBALL TEAM. Could all players attend a brief meeting regarding this weeks fixture in E10 at morning interval on Monday. Mr Douglas. Bannerman High School MUSIC DEPARTMENT. Tuesday after school - Orchestra in the Workshop Theatre Wednesday lunchtime - School of Rock in Music Room 3 Wednesday after school - String Orchestra in the Workshop Theatre Friday lunchtime - Woodwind Group in Music Room 2 SANTA DASH Registration is now open to take part in the annual Glasgow SANTA DASH. A fun walk, dash or run in Glasgow city centre dressed as Santa. Apply online on your own or as a group. Entry is £5.00 for children and £15 for adults. This years entry money goes to Beatson Cancer Charity. So please join in with lots of teachers from Bannerman and raise money for Beatson or any other charity you want (I will be dressing up and dashing for Yorkhill Trust). For more information see Mr Boyle (the handsome one) in Computing. NETBALL GAME. S4 girls have an away netball game to Whitehill Secondary School on 2nd November. Bannerman High School DRAMA LONDON TRIP MEETING - WEDNESDAY 1st NOVEMBER. Meeting in Mr Gemmell's room at 1PM SHARP. At this meeting we will hand out consent forms and talk about room allocations, as well as confirming the itinerary. The final payment is due by 17th November. This is a very tight timescale, so please speak to Mr Gemmell asap if you have any questions. MACBETH CAST. Tuesday lunchtime meeting as normal. Rehearsals after school Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Speak to Mr Gemmell for details. MACBETH. This year we are presenting an adaptation of Macbeth in the theatre. Our version is called MACBETH - WITCHHUNTER, and has a cast of ten very talented pupils from S1 through to S6, with original music and choreography created by seniors and with make up, costumes and props also provided by pupils. The show will be performed on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th November in the workshop theatre at 7.30pm. We are also arranging a matinee performance - details to follow. TICKETS will be available from 31st October (Halloween, of course) from the Drama Department, priced £4. Respect Responsibility Ambition
