Bannerman High School Responsibility In Bannerman we can show responsibility by: Being on time. The school bell rings at 8.45am. You must be in Tutor class by 8.50am. All late coming is recorded and parents are informed. Respect Responsibility Ambition

Bannerman High School MACBETH. Everyone involved in the show is reminded that there is a regular weekly update meeting at 1.05pm in Drama 4. Please also keep an eye on the notices outside the room. If you have any questions please speak to Mr Gemmell. MUSIC DEPARTMENT: Tuesday after school (Workshop Theatre) - Orchestra *All woodwind, brass & string players to attend as advised by their teachers. Wednesday lunchtime (Music Rm 1) - School of Rock Wednesday after school (Workshop Theatre) - String Orchestra *All String players to attend. Bannerman High School BANNERMAN BUZZ. Interested in the News, photography or magazines? The team of the school magazine, The Bannerman Buzz, meets every Tuesday lunchtime in E3 from 1.00 pm (or just bring your lunch along from the start!). Come and meet the Editorial team to find out more - all year groups welcome! Mr. de Smith. S2 FOOTBALL TEAM. Could all players attend a brief meeting regarding this weeks league fixture in E10 at morning interval on Tuesday. Mr Douglas. S6 MENTORS. Could all S6 Mentors please meet in the Library during PSE period 3 on Friday Sept 29th. FUN RUN. The annual S1 sponsored fun run will take place on Thursday October 12th period 6 and 7. Pupils should report to their period 6 class and register before meeting at the games hall at 1.45pm. Pupils should bring P.E kit for this day and for those wishing to run competitively there will be medals for the top three girls and boys as well as house points awarded. All pupils will have a sponsor form and they will be raising money for the school fund which helps to pay for equipment and transport across many departments throughout the year. Bannerman High School MALAWI FUNDRAISING. Team Malawi 2017 would like to thank all pupils and staff who bought the Krispy Kreme doughnuts on Friday 15 September. We raised £355 for our Malawi Partnership. Thank you and ZIKOMO! Team Malawi 2017 S4 MALAWI SPONSORED FAST. If you took part in the sponsored fast for Malawi, please could you hand in your completed sponsor forms and money raised to Miss Reid (SS1) by end of school on Friday 29 September. S4 MALAWI TRIP If you are interested in taking part in the trip to Malawi in June 2018 but missed the assembly then collect an application form from Miss Reid, Mr Kelly & Mrs Mulholland. The completed application forms must be returned by Friday 29th September. LONDON THEATRE EXPERIENCE. The London Trip, organised by the Drama Department, still has spaces left for any pupils who are interested in joining us. The trip is February 2018 and includes coach travel, hotel, dinners, two musicals, a play, a backstage tour and more. The trip is open to pupils from S3-S6 with a good record of attendance and behaviour. If you are interested in knowing more contact Mr Gemmell in Drama 4. Respect Responsibility Ambition

Bannerman High School MULTI-SPORTS CLUB S1-S3. Every Wednesday lunchtime led by Kenny from Active Schools. Football, Badminton and Basketball among other sports. All S1-S3 welcome. INFORMATION FOR S3 DUKE OF EDINBURGH APPLICANTS. If you have applied to do the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award this year, you should go to ICT 9 period 5 on Wednesday 27th September. This is during PE time, you will be marked accordingly on the register. Thanks, Miss McDonald. S6 YOUNG ENTERPRISE. Bannerman High School YEAR HOUSE CAPTAIN TRAINING – ‘PUPIL VOICE – TURNING UP THE VOLUME’ Friday 29th September Room - Social Subjects 3 Period 3 - S1, S2 & S6 Period 4 – S3, S4 & S5 Our newly appointed Year House Captains should go straight to SS3 (note the allocated period) where they will be registered. David Linden MP and Suki Wan MSYP will be joining us to answer questions and inspire our Year House Captains to be highly effective representatives on the Pupil Councils.
