5 Benefits Realized During Recent Area-Wide EOC Support Effort
Streamline something we already do. People want to help, provide structured opportunity. Increase regional resilience, use local resources. Bring back home experience-gained. Professional Emergency Management staff are at home in the EOC environment, and familiar with Texas emergency management systems.

6 Vision / Mission VISION: Framework for a professional Emergency Management team that can be quickly mobilized to support their fellow Emergency Managers and Emergency Operations Centers during response, relief and immediate recovery efforts. MISSION: Provide professional Emergency Management assistance to Emergency Managers and Emergency Operations Centers, in support of their response, relief and immediate recovery efforts. “Be fast. Be flexible. Do good.”

7 General Rules, and Exceptions
Principally comprised of/for “Emergency Managers” but broad enough to allow for the engagement of other kinds of resources and personnel that would serve well at an EOC. Team members/personnel may provide support to other types of incident facilities (not just EOCs). Integration with State-sponsored Texas Emergency Management Assistance Team (TEMAT) initiative, an initiative identified in the Texas Homeland Security Strategic Plan.
