Humanizing Agile

EXPERIMENTATION I love to experiment. Do you? Let’s start with an experimentation. I’d like everyone to make a paper airplane. If you don’t know how to make one, partner up with a neighbor.

An experiment is a procedure carried out to verify, refute, or validate a hypothesis.

Is human nature is being taught out of us?
How many questions do you think we ask in a day?

Why Agile? I believe in individuals, interactions, collaboration and responding to change so that we can deliver what is most needed at the time. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe that having teams of 5-9 people enable people to truly connect, build a common purpose and gain a mutual understanding. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe that visualizing our work shows that we have nothing to hide and everything to gain. It clears the fog and shines a light on what’s right in front of us. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe release planning helps us all agree on where we are going, using the same map, while realizing that there will always be detours and stops we didn’t know we wanted to explore. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe sprint planning offers just enough information at just the right time so that our teams can focus on getting one thing done at a time. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe defining acceptance criteria helps us clearly articulate why we need something and what that something is before we invest time working on it. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe defining a minimum viable product allows us to fail fast, learn from mistakes and change course at the earliest possible moment so that we don’t waist any time. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe having a Product Owner gives the needed focus to a backlog so teams are always focused on that things that add the most value. Do you believe what I believe?

Why Agile? I believe having a Scrum Master provides team members the much needed space to be heard, collaborate and to get things out of the way so that they can shine as bright as possible in how they do their work. Do you believe what I believe?
