4. So… Why a tablet?
Tablets are mobile and present opportunities for mobile applications in the future like Google Maps, inspections, hazmat, hydrant and EMS documentation programs.
Safety..... Does not block engineer.
Current high-end laptop computers will not allow our CAD gps connectivity.
GPS is built in.
Built in camera has capability of attaching photos to exposure reports.

5. What has changed?
You will have to login every morning with your username and password. Yes, you can be logged into your desktop and the MCT at the same time.
Mail access
No keyboard and no need to enter in pre-map numbers
AVL works! The AVL will pinpoint your calls location then you will open your pre-maps through your AVL. The AVL will not route you to your call.
Messages within cad have been updated.

6. What has changed?
ACDSEE pre-maps are now swiped based(like Apple/Android) and also have pinch to zoom in and out.
Connectivity with cad is better.

8. The don’ts Don't change the screen saver or desktop picture.
Don't change the screen resolution. We have tested in all resolutions and this is the best for now.
Don't use pens, pencils or anything on the screen! The stylus is ok!
The screen is glass! fists, heads and knees will break it.
Don’t take out the SIM card and blow on it then lick it and put it back in.

9. Known Problems
The CAD map orientation is off due to drivers. Working on it….
The AVL pre-map locations show their corresponding pre-map number but don't show the address. Working on it….
Sometimes AVL does not map to the call but still has connectivity.

Log current user off and loggin yourself to tablet, then your unit.
Do your best to pull AVL pre-map before travel.
