4. Chapter 8 – Gatsby’s dream is dead… HOMEWORK
Write detailed answers for each of the questions below:
Gatsby tells Nick his real story: what is it?
Nick grows tired of the Egg community: why? Summarise his conclusions with quotes from the text.
Fitzgerald draws parallels between Gatsby and Wilson: what are they?
Gatsby’s dream finally dies: how does Fitzgerald use the weather to convey this? Backup with quotes from the text. EXT: find other examples of when he uses this technique.
