Lessons from Isaiah God Stands Alone
Man cannot exclude Me from his little universe; even though he deny My existence and denounce My claim — I am still there. – J. Parker March 4, 2018

Isaiah 44:21-22 Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are My servant; I formed you; you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me. I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to Me, for I have redeemed you.

Isaiah 44:26 Who confirms the word of His servant and fulfills the counsel of His messengers, Who says of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be inhabited,’ and of the cities of Judah, ‘They shall be built, and I will raise up their ruins’;

Isaiah 44:27 Who says to the deep, ‘Be dry; I will dry up your rivers’;

Isaiah 44:28 Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd, and he shall fulfill all My purpose’; saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’”

Isaiah 44:28 Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd, and he shall fulfill all My purpose’; saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’”

Isaiah 45:1 Thus says the LORD to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:

Isaiah 45:2-3 I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron, I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who call you by your name.

Isaiah 45:4 For the sake of My servant Jacob, and Israel My chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know Me.

Isaiah 45:5 I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides Me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know Me,

Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

1 Timothy 2:1-3 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,

1 Peter 2:13-14 Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good.

1 Peter 2:17 Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

Isaiah 45:6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides Me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.

Exodus 20:1-3 And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before Me.

Isaiah 45:6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides Me; I am the LORD, and there is no other.

For Our Consideration God is sovereign over all rulers, nations, and lives God will use rulers and anyone else He desires to further His will God’s people have a responsibility to pray for and submit to authority We must guard against idols in our life - 1 John 5:21

Prayer Focus Help us to learn to rest in Your sovereignty Thank You Father for Your Word to lead, guide and instruct us Thank You for Your great love, mercy, and grace Help us to keep You first in our daily lives by walking in obedience to Your Word
