Communication at Play! Imaginative, Creative, Strategic, Engaging, Fun
Huizinga: “Culture arises and unfolds in and as play,” and the “great instinctive forces of civilized life” are rooted in “the primeval soil of play.” Rich metaphorical resources: solving puzzles and mysteries, playbook, playing field, playground, play pedagogy, play therapy, play as subversion… Theme invitation: submissions that 1) examine the nature of play as it intersects with communication, and 2) exhibit playfulness in shared experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does co-sponsorship work? How is the slot counted and what unit does it count for? The slot is subtracted from the unit that “owns” the session. Adding a co-sponsor to a session does not use one of the co-sponsors slots. It is not possible to “split” slots. How do I request more slots? During the session building process in May planners have the opportunity to request additional slots from the First Vice President. Additional slots are provided based on the submission itself, so it is only possible to request additional slots once submissions have been reviewed.
