2. Introduction Cont. A copy of the EAP is available in the Control Room
The EAP is reviewed/updated periodically.
Employees will be trained and drills will be conducted periodically.
A copy of the EAP is available to the Local Emergency Preparedness Committee and the local Fire Department upon request.
This PowerPoint will go over the most frequent emergencies at CSP.

3. Procedures The preferred method of communication is by phone call
To account for CSP employees and non-CSP employees in the event of an emergency visitors/contractors must sign in and out of the log book located in the CSP lobby.
The Lead Operator is the Emergency Coordinator and is responsible for assuring that all occupants evacuate to the designated assembly area.
All unaccounted building occupants shall be reported to the Plant Manager, or in his/her absence, to the Emergency Coordinator
Avoid the process area when evacuating.

5. Fire Response The following events trigger a fire response
A fire of any nature
Hydrogen leak detectors activated
Detectors are located at the top of Module 9, above the Electrolyser, and above the HCl Synthesis Unit (Burner)
A hydrogen leak results in:
1 min detection above 900 ppm trips the plant
5 min above 900 ppm triggers Simplex and DFD

6. Fire Response A fire of any nature Requires the operator to
Initiate Plant Shutdown, if plant still running
Manually activate the local fire alarm pull station
Call 911 or the Fire Department at
Establish communication with KIK
Request that everyone evacuate the building
Coordinate with DFD for further action

A certified CPR and First Aid Provider

8. Chemical Spills Spills inside the facility: Spill outside facility:
Follow standard operating procedures to mitigate and clean all chemical spills.
Communicate to the plant manager
Push the Hazmat yellow alarm if required
Call HAZMAT SWS environmental services at if required
Must follow with an incident report and investigation
